Subject: Asking for some thoughts here

I don't know if this subject has been brought up before, but I want some feedback for a good friend who has been
told that being a vegetarian is against church teaching.
I say it isn't and is actually more in line with Joseph Smith's teachings on health using mild foods, and in line with the WoW to either eat it sparingly or abstaining from eating it, and that those who forbid it are against the law, as per D&C.

thoughts? I personally am a carnivore, love a good steak once in a while and eat lots of vegetables and go meatless several times a week.
