I don't see anything wrong with being a vegetarian and I've never heard any taught to the contrary. For those who eat totally vegetarian or vegan for health, that's fine. But I'm more like you, I like a good steak sometimes, but mostly eat little or no meat.

I'm wondering what would lead a person to think that it was against our teachings to be a vegetarian?

I think it's interesting to note that the older version of the D&C said:

"13 And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be used only in times of winter, or of cold, or famine."

The current version says:


"13 And it is pleasing unto me that they should not be used, only in times of winter, or of cold, or famine."

Did you notice the difference? A comma. But it totally changes the meaning.

Anyway, I'd like to hear more on this.
