Well, in lots of places it's already October 25th! Which means the next 2 months will be full of LOL tradition - with the holiday card exchange and Secret Santa fun filling up our time. WHO CAN BELIEVE IT!?

And, of course, one of our other traditions - the very beautiful 2009 LOL Seasonal Bookmark! Lady Jay has waved her magic wand and done it again! I don't know HOW she does it, but she DOES! Soooo creative and sooo lovely - thoughtful, insightful, brilliant! For the sixth year in a row! Not including the LOL 10th Anniversary bookmark. Yay, Lady Jay!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D

Diana has been her usual kind self and has sent me autographed bookplates to put on the bookmarks!

So........ If you want yours to add to your collection, just do the following:

1. Click on "contact forum admin" above.

2. Put Bookmark in the subject line.

3. Send along your name and address in a format that would make it easy for me to cut and paste it onto a label - like this:

Name
Street Address
City, State or Province, Zip or Postal Code

You know what I mean. It just makes it easier for me to cut and paste. :)

I know some of you have asked me for an extra one for a friend or relative or whoever .... I don't know if I'll have enough of this year's to do that due to the new book coming out - have no clue if there will be a run on them. *G* But, I have some from previous years that I'd be happy to send. Also, if you are new to LOL and haven't ever had one of the previous ones, let me know and if I you'd like an extra one I'll be happy to send one or two along. I hate having any of them hanging around when they are autographed and I know there are people who would be happy to have them. So don't be shy - I'll try to accommodate in any way I can.

Get your cards, stamps, and pens ready Hosers, it�s that time of the year! For those who are new to the boards or have never participated in the Holiday Card exchange, I�ll give you a brief rundown of the details. Each year Hosers from all over the world exchange cards as a way to spread a little joy and celebrate our friendships. In order to participate, all you need to do is send me a little information and I�ll get you on the list. Here�s how it works:

1. Decide how many cards you would like to send. I will do like Michelle did in years past and divide the list up into groups of 10. You can choose to send 10, 20, 30, 40, or you can do the whole list.

2. Send me how many cards you would like to send, your full name, your board nickname, and your complete address (country too!). Ex:

3. If you don�t want to receive religious themed cards, not a problem, just include that information under your address.

4. Send all the above information to lolrisab at yahoo. I�m going to set the last day for you to send me your information as December 1, 2009. I�ll email you your list a few days after that. Make sure to check your spam boxes for the lists; this has been an issue in years past.

Today is The International Day of Climate Action, covering almost every country on earth. Some 4,300 actions in 171 countries will highlight the number 350 and the message that we must find creative ways to reduce carbon in the atmosphere now, from 385 parts per million to 350 ppm, the "safe" level of carbon emissions in the atmosphere (350.org).

        With Secret Santa... you get 1 person to buy a present for. Then you shop for them... and send the gift. Someone will have you and they are not the same person you got. There will be a Voy board that you can go to keep up with it all. You keep your name a secret until they open it. You can post teaser things on the board... like... I am in the midwest...
