Being a Los Angeles girl, I had never seen anything like it except for the Liquid Amber trees. We were on a small country road driving to Cooperstown, and it looked exactly like your first photo except that the sky was black with rain clouds. The brilliant leaves stood out in relief. - Charyl, I think you missed one - it's also "Sick and tired of this crappy weather" Day here in lovely Michigan - it's been cold and rainy here for at least 5 days - my dogs are big mudballs and I'm getting very crabby. DH is in the hospital (sounds like it will be at least 3 weeks!) and the teenagers are driving me absolutely batty. I've held off as long as I can, but there is a bottle of Stoli in the cupboard and a jug of cranberry juice and a lime in the 'fridge. Did anyone in the UK see "Last Chance to See" with Stephen Fry last night. They were in New Zealand looking at the endangered Kakapo parrot - and the ranger's name was James Fraser! - Hey y'all...so lovely to watch our dear kgp dance with her group yesterday. She's off for a well deserved vacation. When she gets back I'll have to thank her for pointing out the cute bone china tea cup and saucer w/the Fraser of Lovat crest. The cup didn't sell by the end of the day so I decided to take it home! A wet day but nothing that couldn't be fixed with a wee dram on coming home. Oh yeah coming home from the festival following a SUV swerving all over the road...driving in the other lane, etc. No cell service, seriously thought of calling state police. - Hello friends! We're heading back for another fun day of indoor waterparking here in Pigeon Forge, TN. We're staying at the Wilderness, which has 2 water slides, a huge 4 person funnel slide, a wave pool, a body surfing thing and a little kid's area. The kids have had a blast (and so have the adults). Best part is taking DD (4 years old) down the waterslide in the double tube and hearing her giggle the whole way down.
