  Sorry to shout but - this morning I received one of those emails 'I'm in a foreign place, need you to send money'. The scary part is they hacked my minister's email, so it looks as though it really is coming from him, and they took the time to read enough of his other mails to 'sound' like him, addressed to me and signed by him.

  • It does give a scare at first, eh? It happened to DD1 last year. It was her google account that got hacked and then She told Google and they wiped her account. Everything was gone--address book, old emails and photos, etc. (NT) -- Charyl, Tue, December 18 2012, 4:39:01
  • This has happened to me with my MaryKay business. I get emails from a "customer", ordering several products, paying with cashier checks that turn out to be phoney. It's quite sad, trying to NOT discourage business (I have no income at the moment except my MK) but I certainly cannot cover the expenses of fake money! What ails some people? AND, they seem to target others who are the ones apt to be trusting and willing to help out. Grrrrr...we're here to encourage, treasure, and love each other, not rip each other off! Rant over.   • Just got back from seeing 'Playing for Keeps' at the local theater. A cute story with lots of ditzy women but Gerard Butler was in virtually every scene and used his natural accent.   • My favorite pen is a Levenger True Writer Fountain Pen - the feel of a fountain pen and how the ink flows (when it works properly) is soooo nice.
