Subject: Betsy, so good to hear from you. Everyone grieves in their own way and time. do what's best for you. Just know we are here as a virtual shoulder to lean or cry on. You have many friends on the Boards who care about you and who love your "blatherings". Keep well!

Every day is different, and whenever I think I am making progress emotionally, I fall apart again. When people ask me, "How are you doing?" which is a strange thing to ask someone going through trauma, my answer has become, "I'm appropriately a wreck." This is true...this morning, I realized that one of my coping mechanisms is writing, particularly writing about my life, making it humorous. The Social Board is my safe-haven. I can pour my guts out, make it silly, even ridiculous, and it helps me put myself into perspective. No matter how irreverently I write, no one bats an eye.
