Roger was always told that Jerry was shot down over the channel but never found. They found the plane near a stone circle though, according to Claire who heard the story from Frank. Jerry ended up getting thrown back in time coming out close to Hadrian's wall. What struck me here was that Jerry's shade entered and sat down.
