Sorry I’m a little late posting this. I was traveling yesterday and while I certainly could have posted while on the plane or waiting in airports, I just didn’t think of it. I’m in Indiana now at my son’s house, he’ll take me to my new home later today, just a couple of miles away. Everything went so smoothly the last few days I feel like I’ve been dreaming! Being very tired adds to that feeling, I’m sure.

“He lifted me to my feet then, and bent his head to kiss me. It went on a long while, and his hands roamed downward, finding the fastening of my petticoat. It fell to the floor in a billow of starched flounces, leaving me in my chemise.
‘Where did you learn to kiss like that?’ I said, a little breathless. He grinned and pulled me close again.
‘I said I was a virgin, not a monk,’ he said, kissing me again. ‘If I find I need guidance, I’ll ask.’”

This is such an iconic scene in the show but I saw an interview with Ron Moore where he said that when they were writing the script he hadn't wanted these lines to be included. The other writers objected and got their own way. He said he now admits he was an idiot as it was too good to miss out.

[> How fun to be moving into a new home! Was it to be closer to family? I fantasize about moving but honestly, I dread packing up 35 years worth of stuff. -- kgp, Fri, April 14 2023, 8:52:33

[> [> We've lived in our house 20+ years....and our closest family is in Missouri (we're in Detroit area). I've been asked about moving back, but.....when we moved into this house I said my next move will be in a body bag. The thought of going through stuff, packing, selling, donating, etc. is mind boggling! But I'm very happy you've landed in your new place! -- Janet, Fri, April 14 2023, 10:04:26

[> Yes, I moved out here from California to be near my son. I’m getting old & need help! moving was difficult to say the least. But, if I ever do have to move again I have much less stuff! But I hope to be here till I die. -- CindyG, Fri, April 14 2023, 13:55:26

[> [> Best wishes to you, Cindy!! I can’t believe you still did QOTD during this week! YOU are a prime example of how dedicated we fans are. Lol. I’m loving remembering these beginnings too. I’m glad they fought for these classic lines in the show. -- Kathy in PA, Sat, April 15 2023, 3:39:31
