Joe is one of my favorite characters. He's usually in the background, but he is practical, loyal, and a true friend to Claire. I love that Bree calls him Uncle Joe, despite Frank's opinions (which were very common for that era). Joe's realization that Bree wrote that SHE is taking them to her parents, not WE, that Roger was not with her was worrisome, especially since he had no way to find out what was going on. -- Ladies of Lallybroch Social Board
