Subject: The forced social niceties are going away and sadly I think it’s going to be worse with our grandchildren. It’s not that they don’t care, but society stereotypes and the necessity of physical interaction to communicate has changed things so much. We visited cousins on a regular basis whether we wanted to or not. And mostly enjoyed it. If we wanted to go out and play we had to go knock on a door …. or yell. Anyway, off the soapbox and out to enjoy the Cherry Blossom Parade 😊
In reply to: Cait 's message, "I've posted this one before, but having had my birthday this past week and seeing who did and didn't show up for me, after I always put myself out trying to make their birthdays special, really drives home how much your children dismiss in the general course of life. But I have hope for the grandbabies." on Sat, April 30 2022, 6:28:20
