I am not terribly satisfied with current alcohol limits, either, though. WHen I drank, I never drove right after. Even if it was just one glass of beer. I think they set the limits way too high--I know my coordination is affected by a very small amount of alcohol (way less than that which would make me "legally drunk").

I should think it would be as easy to moniter cannabis levels in the blood as alcohol, no?

Apparently the evidence suggests that if legalised, it would be used less than it is now.

I dunno, Michelle, I have used pot, alcohol, Gravol, cough medicine. Of all these, pot affected me the least. Pot affected my perceptions but didn't make groggy, sleepy, uncoordinated, etc.

Nevertheless, I don't think its use should be tolerated on the job (anymore than the use of alcohol or sleeping pills should be).

I just think that the legality of a drug can't be based on how a person COULD abuse it, because all kinds of OTC drugs can have a negative impact on a person's driving, work, etc.

A.
