See, theres where i have to disagree again. While yes the boel should be versitile to some degree, it still needs to root in its origins and purpose. Trying to make it do 50 things its not bred to do is whats causing the watering down and degrading of the breed.

While you have great idea there, I just have to put in m y two cents and play devils advocate.

As for the "in shape" dogs being able to do it, sure, but should them to carry out a guarding task? No. I dn't awant my dogs chasing someone down over long distances to keep them off my property. I want them standing their ground and preventing them from entering in the first place. Leaving would mean the dog just abandoned its turf allowing for others to invade. Make senses???
