I saw Troy, and thought it was really...kindof good. Not great, but for an action flick with some mythological orgins I thought it was cool. It was a little long in some places, I thought. But I think it was a good movie.

I haven't read the Odyssey since ninth grade or something, so I can't really comment on inconsistencies, but I do agree that it is basically a hollywood makeover..as expected.

Yeah that Ron kid is not as cute as he was. Actually, I saw all three movies right in a row, so it was funny to see how much they aged between filmings. They grew A LOT. Especially that evil kid, Malvoi or whatever his name is. I swear he grew like three feet. I think that's part of the charm of the series..you get to see them grow up as actors and as characters. It's weird but whatever. (I'm not really a fan, I just happened to see them all recentely and thus wrote about it.)

THe Lord of the Rings are some movies that I've been putting off seeing. I actually have the book sitting here on my shelf, and I'm not sure if I'll ever start it. It's fookin big! I've seen part of the first one, but that was in my "I'm not watching this goblin crap" stage, so I wasn't that impressed. I'm planning on sitting down and having a marathon or something, sometime, though.
