Angie forced herself to smile. ::Don't worry about it,:: she sent to Alexis. ::Just be careful next time.::

Jeff sat down slowly, looking at Alexis with intent grey eyes. "What do you mean?" he asked in a quiet voice. "What's wrong with you? Come on...if you tell me, maybe I can help."

The redhead was quiet for a moment, then started to her feet. "I'll be right back," she said to them. "There are some plants up here with these giant, spreading leaves---they'd make dandy blankets. You two just hang here and get warm while I gather some, okay?" She turned and hurried off into the shadows, scrabbling over the stone. Just give 'em time, she thought to herself with a truly impish smile.

Jeff glanced after her, but his attention was all for Alexis. "You can tell me," he said, and with a burst of daring reached out to touch her arm.

Gwenneth sighed, gazing up the mountain path for a long moment before padding over to Monet. For the first time since they had met, however, she hesitated to touch him, and inched closer after she had settled into the concavity beside him. Her long ears were slicked back, and she looked very weary. ::Thank you, dear Monet. It has been a long day.::
