Michael smiled crookedly at his lir, but at the same time he was troubled. He knew Rio to be a highly intelligent, well-informed creature, and her confidence in the Jellicles seemed incongruous.

::Peace, Evan,:: he said to his lir as the eagle was about to deliver a full-blown speech on the dangers of unknown races. ::'S'no good arguing with Rio, you know that. Let's just wait it out-- and keep a close eye on Dante.::

Kalea smiled after Khanada and tipped a friendly wink at Dante. Carefully retrieving her tail, she stretched luxuriously and shook out her long hair.

"Coming, Gabe!" she called, and beckoned eagerly at Dante as she headed for the mouth of the cave. "How're that boy and the rest?" she asked Gabriel, watching him load the supplies.
