 Nearing the finish of the spell, the sorcerer prince started to change it up, inverse the spell, mixing it with another. He felt the powers of magic alter their course and form something new. As he was drawn more into the spell, he could feel its uncertainty, its uniqueness. It felt almost as if his very being was being stripped apart, torn into a thousand peices and scattered to the many suns of the vast Empire. Then everything came together, everything made sense. The spell was completed, and was awaiting the trigger.

Marcius, his eyes having been closed the whole time in concentration, opened once more. A faint smile crossed his lips. "Diamond Knight...since I'm grateful you gave me the idea for a new spell, I'll be kind... I'll give you a chance for redemption... Do this task in the Demon Realm and you'll come back to this exact spot. Find and kill the Pit Lord...and survive. And you'll come back...in 100% health." Marcius smirked. "Good luck."

With another sharp gestures, and a final word, a blood-red pentagram appeared around the Diamond Knight and the area around him went black. Before he could react, the area below his feet fell away and he was sucked into another dimension, another realm, another being.

Then the pentagram disappeared and lgiht reentered the area. With a chuckle, Marcius sat back hard, sweat pouring down his face, drawn in exhaustion.

"That...was...great..." Marcius laughed again, then looked around. "Damn...can't even...bask the glory of a good spell..." He muttered between pants. With a grunt, he forced himself back up to his feet and faced Lans once more.

"I...never caught your name... What is it?" He wiped the sweat and his hair out of his eyes and redrew his beam sword.
