 He is really doing a number on you - again. Making you think that with the sweet words maybe will come the sweet, honest, responsible guy - someday if you just hang on.
He can't make you feel any way - only you can do that. Is he fulfilling his duties without anyone telling him what he needs to do? Taking care of everything for you and the kids, paying the bills, transporting them around, helping with the chores, etc.? Or are you simply accepting the scraps that the selfish "throw" to manipulate your heart? It's completely up to you how you allow him to see you and if you show a shred of sorrow - he's winning.
Heather, you cannot allow the sin to continue but please also remember you are not in control of anything outside of your own deeds. You can be strong and do what you have to do. I know how it hurts, sweetie, I been there. I been in the lonelies, the fears, the what-if's, the maybe....'s.
It's the enemy trying to rip off your peace. Don't let it happen. Get on your knees, pray and spend some serious, quiet time with Jesus. Imagine Him holding you close in His arms and stroking your hair telling you that He loves you and hurts to see you hurting. He wants to see you enjoy the life He's given you. This is exactlty what I had to do and it changed everything for me. I have a relationship with faith and comfort because His word says I do and I've claimed it.
You deserve peace and strength. I will pray for you.
