Subject: Vermont Issues

Leland, XYZ, Fred, NYGOP and other interested posters:

It is time to get back to Vermont politics as the legislature goes back to work next week. What do people think about the following important Vermont issues:

a) Who will be Speaker of the House?

b) Any comments about the Douglas team? Sort of non-descript and reteads from previous legislatures and times?

c) What kind of permit reform will actually fly?

d) What will the Act 60 changes look like?

e) Will the Champion Lands' camp owners get their way with Douglas?

f) How will Douglas get along with Peter Welch? If the Speaker is Freed, who will be the political power, Freed, Welch or Douglas? If Tracy is the Speaker who will be the political power, Welch/Tracy or Douglas?

g) Will the right-wingers get civil unions back on the agenda?

h) What about Fletcher Allen? How will the legislature react?

i) What other hot issues will emerge during the session?

This could get interesting. Unfortunately, I may have to leave the country for awhile to attend to other business. Hate to miss the action.
