I know what you're getting at, and I agree it's unlikely that noone in Intermediate would want to have a go at dancing up, though possible if, say, the extra dance in Advanced was Paso and noone wanted to do it. The opposite could also happen, of course, that *all* the Intermediates danced up to Advanced and there was virtually noone left in the Intermediate! The thing is though that if you thought you might make a round of Advanced but not the final (which could be the case for a lot of top Intermediates) then you'd be better off staying in Intermediate (where you could win or at least make semis) rather than get knocked out in say the second round of Advanced.

In general I do like the idea, but I think there are quite a few potential problems.
