I would teacher reacts to a Dancers injury varies greatly according to the Dancers’s behavior.

Slips and falls are common and Irish Dance – the shoes are not built to be grippy, Dancers have to work on their core strength to stay upright and sometimes floors are not ideal.

When a dancer falls, of course the teachers first Studio should be to check if they’re OK. Some injuries hurt a lot at the first moment but end up just being a bump or bruise. Sometimes a twisted ankle is just a tweaked ankle and the dancer is up in five minutes and dancing again. Derailing an entire class to spend 30 minutes in three hours with a dancer is not warranted if you’re not certain it’s a serious injury.

So my take is, if the dancer has not expressed, they want to call their parent after 30 minutes, the teacher shouldn’t be held accountable for the delay in treatment.
