Subject: As far as I can tell all this stuff - and more - is true.
In reply to: Lance 's message, "If all this stuff is true - and I'm agreeing that it prolly is - given the economy, the lies about WMD, etc, how come Bush is a shoo-in for President in 2004? Could someone explain that to me please? Where are the Democrats?" on 11:36:21 06/03/03 Tue

I don't know where the Democrats are. I think none of their candidates has enough personality - stamina - charisma - whatever. It's just like in 1988 when the Democrat presidential wannabees (including Al Gore and Dick Gephardt, I don't remember the others) were widely known as the seven dwarfs: too many of them and none really convincing. And they are too busy to outshine each other instead of combining forces for a while and hit Dubya where it really hurts.

Bush is a shoo-in for 2004 because he and his mob are using foreign policy as a strategy for domestic policy. US Americans are traditionally desinterested in foreign policy and - I'm sorry to say - too many are not informed enough to tell the difference.

Moreover, the US of A are not owned by its citizens but by multibillion corporations, and for them Dubya is a godsend. They will do everything to keep him.

And if that's still not enough explanation, Dubya is a shoo-in because of the archaic election system and the easiness voter lists can be rigged.

Other than that - no idea. Maybe the US of A are just a nation of political masochists, or considering the havoc Dubya is creating abroad, a nation of political sadomasochists who hate us non US Americans and our lifestyle.
