And of course the word is offensive, but the teacher wasn't calling the student a nigger. The student made an offensive remark and the teacher asked him how it feels to be on the recieving end. To make such a word so taboo and prohibited that any utterance is so shocking, offensive and outrageous that people need to be fired from their jobs simply for stating that such a word exists is political correctness gone too far in my opinion. I think it caters to a lower standard of intelligence. And did anybody learn anything from this incident? Doesn't look like it. The teacher tried to teach a kid empathy, and to think before he speaks, and he lost his job. The kid seemed to learn that the very existence of the word makes him a victim of racism, eventhough none existed in this situation.
