Miss CA is not a 501c3, Scholarship Associates is. Under their incorporation, scholarships can only be paid to qualified educational institutions. Banks and loan companies are not educational institutions. All Miss CA scholarships are paid by Scholarship Associates other pageants can pay their scholarships anyway their 501c3 paperwork says they can. You may not like it but that's the way it is. If you would like to read the articles for incorporation and the filing for 501c3 status they are public documents that can be requested through the freedom of information act. -- Miss California Unofficial Message Board
