Any predictions for Miss Hollywood/Southland winners next weekend?

[> Subject: Plenty of contenders, Gabriella Garcia made top 15 at state, Jillian smith won an open last year (her first year), Carley Rykman is up there, Kelsey Schwartz is beautiful! And so sweet, and Joelle was first runner up at a few tough opens and locals last year so this might be her year. Very interested to see who will take it and it could be anyone I did not name as well it's anyone's game. I'm curious as to how many titles will be given out at Hollywood this year?

I hope Tom gives three titles again, especially with two opens that don't have ED's this year!!! 3 titles please!!!

To all of those who state that you need "experience" or other wins to secure the Miss Hollywood crown: if a girl has zip experience and has the spark and if the judges all like her on that day--she will be rewarded. I think this only applies at the local level. At the state level you have a whole different set of rules. The state winner has been observed and selected beforehand. There is no way that the organization will pick someone who is not tested.
This is why pageants are such a crapshoot for those who work hard and fullfill all of the requirements. This is why there are so many hard feelings...pageants are not logic based.
One exception to this state example: Katie Tang's placement this year was due to her ultra strong talent and her presence. Her eyes just twinkle and she has an undefinable quality that makes you love her. But let's face it--she was not in good shape (in spite of my loving her figure, she was thick and too big on top). I honestly feel that she would have had the crown had it not been for her curves. It's typical "second place" logic.

[> [> Subject: Lauren sang "Someone Else's Story" from "Chess" and did a beautiful job. Courtney danced a jazz number (in black leather, no less) that was really entertaining. Can't remember the name of the song, but it was very stylish and fun. Annie sang "All I Can Do Is Cry," a really beautiful Etta James song. Fabulous! Madison Curtis, the outgoing OT, opted not to perform, but did a terrific job emceeing along with the other three titleholders.

Two beautiful and super fit queens for Hollywood/Southland. These two are setting the pace for the class of 2014. It's going to be another tough year in California!

Her song was not bad but her placement was shocking. What a great show all together! ! I was sincerely entertained during all the talents. Kara Smoot I thought would have placed but never know what happens in interview. Also the country singer was stunning all around, and the only talent that gave me chills, must have dropped the ball in interview.

[> [> [> Subject: karmamom, is it only mean if one attaches their name to a negative opinion? Is it more mean somehow? Since you are the karma expert, do the karmagods go after people who post negative opinions anonymously? I am wondering because while many people posted their opinions about a particular contestant's talent at Miss America, 2 months later you are still obsessing about only one, and that is the one that had a name attached to it.

Do the karmagods get upset with people who hold grudges 2 months after something was said? Just wondering.
