On this board there are only 2 threads dedicated to our beautiful new Miss California, Crystal Lee and 7 threads dedicated to our ugly ungrateful fourth runner up. Why must we focus so much on the negative when we have so much positive to discuss? What are our girls' chances at Miss America and MAOT? What are the plans for their homecomings? Who are some of the amazing young women we are thankful to have in our program? If people want to continue to count down the days the ugly ungrateful fourth runner up moves to West Virginia, they should start their own message board. Otherwise, there is nothing left to say about that subject. It is time to discard the rotten apple. Can we please focus on Crystal, Mikaela and all of the other amazing young women who participate in our program?

[> Subject: Thank you for this. Much of "Laura-gate" will start disappearing this weekend. Enough already. I am continually surprised at how the general tenor of this board so frequently turns to the negative when California has so much positive to be proud of. Maybe it's being taken for granted. Here's a suggestion - tell us something great and positive about the other 99 contestants who competed last week and how they felt about their Miss California experience. Heck, some of them may have enjoyed getting spray tanned! Haha!

[> Subject: While I agree that things need to focus more on the positive, I am disappointed that you had to call the 4th runner up ugly. You had a very good point. Too bad it is marred by unkind words.
