Beyond that, as I mentioned before, it was very interesting to see his Palace interpreted that issue in their latest accounts significantly reducing the %age by stripping out various layers of wage cost. I can't find anything else that confirms it, so not sure. I still don't expect the club to be shoving us up to 90% or more, when those rules look likely to arrive at some point. - Agree on the second point. We are where we are on that and devil will be in the interpretation and implementation of it when it comes into effect. On the 1st part, linked inside are a variety of articles (BBC, SkySports, Guardian) from this year confirming the rules aren't in play next season. They were meant to be nonbinding trial in 24/25, which I think is why Palace were experimenting pushing the envelope, then in force 25/26.   - Cool, thank you, links are useful, appreciated. I think my point stands though - theres no suggestion these rules arent coming in at some point and player contracts run for years. It would be insanity for the club to sign up player contracts that push us well in excess of the threshold that will be introduced.     - True but not for TC, the subject of this chain. No way he's given anything more than a year guaranteed no matter what. He's in Ream territory now. So his contract would definitely not be impacted by the new rules. Timing works well for us because of Raul, Leno and Adama. So I could see us extended TC for a year, carrying higher wages and being nicely set to shed some of the bigger earners next summer.
