• Why would Silva want to go to clubs who have less potential than us? Our spending/backing is not a problem. The owners spend pretty much what they can. Silva has been backed better than any fulham manager in history.       • Yep. Fayed seemed to let his managerial appointments get on with the job without meddling. Sanchez, for example, who brought in some very decent players but results weren’t good.           • Million dollar question. Some suggest that Marco has been given carte blanche which is a ridiculous concept. TK is ultimately responsible for all signings. MS knows positions that need addressing and may well put names into the mix. But it surely has to be TK heading up the research & negotiations and making the final decisions.                 • Fwiw, Silva prefers players like Andersen, Berge & Iwobi who have plenty of experience in EFL (and may well have pushed for them) Conversely younger, less experienced players have probably been spotted and selected by TK (Muniz, Bobb, ESR, Cuenca, Diop, Kevin, Kusi Asare ) game time per player this season is very revealing.     • He didnt in the top flight when you look at the detail. He gave Tigana a fair chunk for the initial splurge then nothing. He gave coleman nothing for 4 years. He gave Sanchez a bit, but not loads, and a chunk of that was offset by the sales of the likes of Knight, Diop etc. He gave Hodgson a bit when he first arrived and then the first summer, but not much else. He gave Hughes virtually nothing. we recieved more than we spent under Jol. None of this compares to the 80-100m Silva's had per year. How that money is then spent is a completely different question, and, no i don't think we've invested wisely.
