Palace : 3 trophies in twelve months . Forest: Europa League semi-finalists. Bournemouth : European qualification despite the loss of significant players , and their relative size as a Club. Brighton : European qualification ( again ) and well -known for their levels of performances despite regular loss of key players . Brentford : much derided by many yet as with the others , losing players and even their Manager hasn’t derailed them from continuing to arguably over-perform . All the above have one thing in common …..RECRUITMENT. Meanwhile Shahid Khan employs his Wrestling Fanatic Son to ‘Head’ a process where responsibility is is handed over completely to a Manager who they are now embarrassingly clinging on to as they have little knowledge of potential successors without relying on others to advise them no doubt in a way they will dictate .

Recruitment over the last few windows has been awful, and even before that - during Silva's reign - the quality of signings was very average. But if it's the case that Silva is behind the likes of Muniz, ESR, Andersen and more recently Bobb, then he has to shoulder much of the blame. I recall similar concerns from fans during his time at Everton. Most supporters agree over TK, but if the Khans have been buying from Silva's Santa list, can they be justifiably criticised for backing the manager? - The Khans have done well putting together the staff to establish us in the Premier League, and if survival is all they're concerned with, then the club is functioning to plan. But I think the feeling is that we could be far more successful with an experienced and genuinely knowledgeable DOF, which TK doesn't qualify as.   - I'm not interested in defending TK. He has however been our D of F for 12 years so he's hardly ignorant. The idea that recruitment has been bad is nonsense. Could have been done quicker but Marco has basically got the players he's wanted. It's the anti Khan fury on here that I find baffling. You think they lack ambition - remember Trinder.     - I don't disagree with much of what you've expressed and I'm certainly not in the Khans bashing camp - we are indeed extremely lucky to have the chairman. But I can also understand the TJ detractors as he simply can't be focused on the club with all his other business interests, specifically NFL & wrestling, which is undoubtedly his passion.       - Apart from recruitment what does a DOF do that doesn't restrict the manager's powers and authority. A young head coach may well benefit from a DOF but would Marco accept his oversight and welcome his input? Nuno walked from Forest - sorry Mickey - the BLESSED Forest - because of this. And our DOF has direct control of the finance which should be seen as an advantage.         I would respectfully argue that recruitment is critical and requires the full focus of a DOF to deliver value for money in a timely fashion, which we've seen precious little of under TK's supervision. Is it a mere coincidence that frustration with transfers and general interference have been concerns for 2 of our most successful managers in recent times, namely Slavisa & Silva with the usual suspect behind these issues?         And let's not forget the £120 million he spent on rubbish that plunged the club into financial problems for a few seasons because he didn't know what he was doing.         If depends on what you call a DoF. Recall listening to an interview with a Bundesliga DoF and his job went far beyond TK's roll.         No, it wouldn't. It would be utter hell for you, maybe. I support fulham. I don't support 'premier league fulham', or watch fulham because i want to see big clubs come to the cottage. I support Fulham, irrespective of the division they are in. It has never been hell, and yes, i was around in the very darkest days - my guess is, i was probably attending more of our smallest attendances, home or away, than most.     - I've been watching Fulham in excess of 40 years and would love to say I've actually seen the club win a relatively major pot. The limit of our fans ambitions seem to be making up the numbers and be thankful for it . Probably the least ambitious fan base of a club of Fulham's size.
