Yesterday's show just put an exclamation point on it for me. I don't want to slam RH, but I really have to wonder why he's willing to play it this way this time around. Todd saving the damsel in distress? Todd making the first move, sexually? This isn't Todd. At least this isn't any Todd I've ever known and loved. I think perhaps RH doesn't have the clout he use to have, and that's why he has to play Todd as a man without any sexual hang-ups. We all know this isn't the real Todd.
Tote, with all due respect, Todd saving damsels in distress is NOTHING NEW for character. HOW he does it is major distinction, he saved Jess & Marty but w/edgey reluctant hero anger. But alas later in 95, Todd was transformed into THE ultimate heroic figure ala Todd Lord, remember Ireland? LOL! Since Todd returned last June, he's been quite unlike himself in that he appears to BEG for accolades for his heroic deeds vs his old true self that NEVER wanted or believed he deserved praise. You know I wasn't online in 95 but I've come to find others like myself who shook out collective heads wondering what the heck happened to our TnR Todd... and why Roger would agree to play a Todd Lord characterization.
