Sorry if you already answered this but I wondering if you could elaborate on a couple of statements that you made about FL's return being contingent on what decisions RH makes? And reality of timing is IF Roger decides to exit in May, Tea mystery remains a viable & open-ended exit story for Todd so yes a Tea decision can hinge on Roger’s. The marketability of Tea returns appeals MOST w/Todd on screen, not off, bottom line. Pilar, just to probe a bit further-are you saying your understanding is that once RH's status is known, the picture about if/how long FL is back is clear? I've felt all along that without a Todd on canvas there wouldn't be a Téa either. It's sad because FL is so talented and the character is ripe for exporation separately, but she's seen as part of a supercouple. One more question, Pilar, LOL. Is it your impression that if RH leaves, FL would only return for exit, or is it conceivable that May sweeps would begin a story? I guess I'm asking if you're thinking is that FL would only come back short term. I actually think it would be smart for both actors to sign on for a short stint, one that ends before pilot season starts up again. Don’t have answers to your questions, wish I did, but GT has proven quite unpredictable in his decisions. W/Jilly, it was a given Tea mystery was written on purpose to allow easy Roger exit w/FL agreeing to return favor. I don’t know if FL is interested in any long-term commitment or not, only know Roger’s numerous outclauses & recent extension speak for themselves, he’s not willing yet to commit to OLTL for any lengthy stay. Nic, strike complicates decisions further. However, from what I understand theater isn’t really that effected by strike so actors like FL have that options. Some rumors Roger was putting out feelers for theatre work, like in late 98 w/LIW… wild idea FL & RH in a play, stranger things have happened! LOL! I do think the strike is going to impact a lot of decisions right now, and I'm wondering if it wasn't for the uncertainty of it, would RH have extended? When "love in the afternoon" transform into "sex in the afternoon?" Trog42, MY main problem w/females under Jillyfication was ALL female were written w/same UGLY traits, lying & betraying others. Viki, Jess & Renee, previously good strong women w/integrity, lied & betrayed those they loved & were suddenly weak & clingy standing “by their man” at any cost to family & friends! 4) IMO Carly is NO Blair clone, she’s NOT that shallow! SB portrayed Carly as a damaged, vulnerable & distrustful woman w/many layers, more like a Todd, a survivor at all costs, can’t be broken & rarely bends. And like Todd, Carly repeatedly self-destructs due her own warped thinking. Carly wasn’t redeemed by motherhood for she abandoned her child. Pilar I have to agrre with you about Carly. When she first apperared on the show she really bothered me. However, over the years I have grown to really like her. Yes, she's screwed up but when she falls she does try and pick herself back up again. She's not the perfect parent and she knows this. Ratings need to be put in CONTEXT, 5th place HH tied w/FOUR other soaps, OLTL did NOT moved up the ladder, other soaps like GH crashed down into toilet w/them. OLTL hasn't improved, other soaps are crashing to its dreary numbers. ITA, soaps in general are in trouble. So far only "Hell No week" under GT spurred a real spike for OLTL, up to 3.5 HH, & solely at 2nd place w/2.8 demos. Hey Jackie, I don't find them much like BnT in that they battle for control regularly in ALL aspects of their relationship. I see more similarities to TnT in CarSon are two fiercely independent people trying to find a balance between them. Sonny at times pulls his manipulative SOB routine & Carly gets in his face.
