  Well I guess it was too much to ask for the turnaround in Todd's character the last few weeks to last...It seemed that Todd had returned and was acting more in character, but after watching the graveyard scenes and the scenes yesterday I am again losing interest quickly. And after yesterday, Todd is not convincing me that he 'really' loves Blair. He had to be kicked in the shins and screamed at by Starr before he went to Blair and 'tried' to tell her that he would fix things. And now we will be treated to 'Tom' playing dress up in a police uniform today....Yipeee
  You know, honostly it would'nt be so hard to watch Todd with Blair if he would act like Todd and convince me that it was really what he wanted. But somehow that is just not happening!!!

              • From specter scenes thru "Hell No" week thru jailhouse scenes, GT proved an incredibly gifted writer b/c I'm darn sure that was NOT McHack's crap. And it wasn't just Todd being written well that Skye/Adam, Renee/Ben confrontations were riveting stuff.                 • When Colin's showtime fell flat unlike Todd's I wondered if that wasn't more likely McHack's dreadful scripting vs GT's changes. I've got whiplash not just from Todd's story but how quickly Colin fell back into cartoon villain too, that dreadful Nora as his drugged dolly reeked of McT's love of victimizing poor Nora last summer.             • IA, Pilar...I've lost a lot of trust and faith in this genre because of those kind of games and inconsistency, and when it comes to favorites, I'm really out of patience with that whole 'back and forth' deal. That's big time damaging to GT's vision, because to swing back tells me that he does know better, and then to reverse tells me he's not strong enough to back that up and promote consistency in that knowledge. • Three generations enjoying a “soapfest”… ROFLMAO at one soap yet NOT quite the one I expected! *VBG -- Pilar, 07:12:38 03/16/01 Fri
  Oh Thursday at Pilar’s house was a first! Finally, three generation all together ready to indulge love of soaps. My mami has been up from Florida for weeks and thanks to our dear Kelly’s generousity here, I had a great L&L memories tape to share with her. My mami is bigger L&L fanatic than I am, and huge GH fan who like me has been sorely dissappointed in show this last year. My niece, Katie, 10, has been excited to watch tape too as she had heard so much about L&L from me and her Abuella!
  
  So yesterday was THE day: Katie had half-day from school. I took afternoon off from work, and bought the soda & popcorn. We watched L&L tape TOGETHER and oh the memories were great to share w/mami! Especially fun was answering Katie’s million questions, trying to remember all the details of the “left handed boy” and “ice princess” adventures!
  
  Anyways, 2:00 pm rolls around & much to my surprise Katie announces she wants US to watch HER soap. WTF? Poor me, clueless that my dear niece has been catching “Passions” after school recently and gotten totally hooked. Now Katie and I share this love of anything to do w/witches from movies to books to reality as we’ve even gone to watch the white wiccans celebrate Halloween here in Salem Mass, so she convinces me that “you HAVE just HAVE to watch Passions for the cool witches.” She guarantees I’ll love it oh yeah right I say but being a “cool auntie” who spoils her niece rotten AND unhappy OLTL camper anyways these days I turn channel… brace myself to grit my teeth through an hour of a soap I’ve long sworn NEVER to watch….
  
  OMG, haven’t a clue if yesterday was typical but the whole parody inside a parody gimmick totally blew me away. I loved the “wicked witch of the west” spoof as Tabitha explained where “water melting a witch” fear came from. Timmy dressed as that hilarious “flying monkey” made us HOWL, tears pouring down our faces we could barely contain ourselves. Put it this way, my dog couldn’t contain herself kept running up and trying to wipe the tears of laughter from our cheeks, we had to fend her off! ROFL!
  
  I admit I didn’t even listen to Katie explain who or what Ethan Crane is or the four friends meeting cause I was still wiping tears of laughter from my eyes and hoping for more Tabitha/Timmy scenes.
  
  Loved how Tabitha’s magic isn’t just quite right so she’s stuck waiting for Hecuba to come back to the lair… meanwhile like in Oz, this witch’s lair comes complete w/viewing glass where Timmy & Tabitha watch some chick Charity & a guy battle to escape hell or whatever that closest leads! LOL! All I know is that it was WORSE case of overacting I’ve ever watched, beats Kassie’s & DV’s stuff by a mile! It felt like a SNL skit, one of those classic parodies within a parody, so darn absurd I was NOT embarrased for actors but howling at blatant silliness of writing/acting.
  
  What a riot ending w/Tabitha watching these bad actors moaning “this is not good.” ICAM, but it was hilarous nonetheless! So mea culpas to James Reilly and Passion viewers, I had NO clue what a RIOT this show was! If I want or need a GOOD laugh in the future from a SOAP I’d rather watch Passions than tune into “keystone cops antics.”
  
  In the end TWO generations even enjoyed the last of our “soapfest” as we turned on GH at 3:00 pm and lo & behold some really good L&L scenes, be still my heart can Fluke be ending?! Poor Katie was bored to tears!
  
  Last night mami and I discussed how my sisters never cared for soaps but our Katie was well on her way to being a lifelong soap fan… of Passions that is…. Before yesterday I would have railed at her choice, but you know sometimes it pays to get a “fresh perspective.”

Sure, sometimes Buffy is juvenile writing especially last year w/Riley crap but I found the early years dealing w/Angel, the curse & slayer vs vamp legends quite riveting.                   • I had almost given up on "Buffy" last year with Spike being de-vamped, standing around feeling sorry for himself, and the whole Initiative thing, but I was very pleasantly surprised with this year. Spike's been much much better, and Buffy's got her inner strength back that she seemed to be missing last year.   Just wanted to let folks here know that I saw the National Enquirer for next week saying that "yadda, yadda, and Blair learns she is pregnant" IS NOT in next week's National Enquirer. In fact, the yadda, yadda part is not even in there.(g) It is not in the previews section for soaps. So please, as always, take what you read on the 'net with a big grain of salt. Lotta posers & fake spoilers running around it seems. WHATEVER. I am just thankful to the magazine guy for letting me stand there and read through the mag without having to buy the rag. :) Onward...

  "First things first: Kale Browne was let go for one very simple reason. There
  was a certain suit who did not like him on a personal level. Kale should have
  known (and prob did) he was a goner the minute that Jill Phelps headed west.
  The resentment that certain actors felt towards Kale because if his inordinate
  amount of airtime when he joined OL had little or nothing to do with his
  dismissal. Simple as that.
  
  "Tomlin has his favorites on OL and who they are will become VERY apparent in
  the coming months. He is extremely fond of many of the characters that were
  first introduced in the early/mid 1990's...such as Todd, Nora, RJ, and Blair.
  He absolutely adores Hillary Smith and Roger Howarth, so expect to see a lot of
  them on your screens.
  
  "He has no plans to reunite Sam and Nora. Lau (the new Sam Rappaport) is being
  brought on for a 30-40 something beauty who is currently in the midst of
  romantic woes. There are only a couple of choices on that one-figure it out.
  
  "Tomlin has indeed spoken with Florencia Lozano about bringing back the
  character of Tea Delgado. Lozano is extremely gun shy about a return, though;
  she wasn't especially happy about her last year or so at OL and wants to know
  what would be in store for her storyline-wise. He's been speaking with Chris
  and Lorraine on storyline ideas for Tea. If the talks work out, expect to see
  Tea back in Llanview come November, and expect to see some of her family join
  the canvas as well as Tomlin very much wants to reintroduce some ethnicity to
  the show.
  
  "Tomlin, as of right now, is going with the Todd and Blair pairing and expect
  to see them in each other's story and working things out for the next few
  months. If Lozano returns, I have no idea how that will impact Todd/Blair.

  "Tim Gibbs' mouth got him into trouble with that comment about being ready to
  move on. A certain suit who didn't care for Gibbs to begin with decided to take
  him up on his offer (this happens to be the same suit who care for Browne and
  said suit also doesn't care for Jill Phelps, either, but he can't do anything
  about that last one).
  
  "Tomlin is considering a Bo and Nora reunion (he really liked these two and
  directed many of their episodes when he was a director as OL), but is meeting
  with some resistance on that one from actors and suits alike. He does have the
  power to overide the actors and the suits would more than likley let him go
  ahead with this pairing. It's just a matter of if he feels the audience still
  cares enough about these two.
  
  "Chamarro is definitely outta here. The reason for Sophia's exit will come as a
  surpise.
  
  "There's also about an 80% that Darlene Vogel will be leaving in May. She
  hasn't caught on with the audience. If she fails to pull through during her
  upcoming storyline material, she's a goner.
  
  "Tomlin and the writers do read the mail. Your letters do count with this
  regime. So, if there's somthing you want to see (or not to see) I suggest
  dropping a line."
  
  ...So far it all sounds decent to me except the bit about Sophia. Really hope

I think this is an excellent time for FL fans to be writing Tomlin, expressing a desire for her character to have storylines that would not be tied exclusively to RH/Todd b/c of how this actor tends to come and go. Secondly could it be that Sophia will turn up as Colin's killer? I heard that she had threatened him once, correct? If so, THAT could be the "surprise" exit. Cuz, even when the person IS known to us (Pilar comes to mind), their info is treated very skeptically also... so imo, doesn't matter whether we know this person or not.   • Hi Apricot, thanks sharing this post. My .02 cents, 1) Weird that suit referred to is "HE" when I'd say it's a SHE, as in FMB, who doesn't care for FOJs nor JFP. SHE brought in LB as co-HW when GT just wanted CW. 2) Sort of weird reaction on FL news, "gunshy" was word used HERE first to describe FL feelings about return. Also, Nov timeframe makes very little sense to me, based on Roger news, strike & FL career move. 3) Where's Dorian news? GT's wants Dorian back by end of May sweeps.   • Wow! Not surprised about OLTL being shut out, but I am about GH- there was some amazing work this year. Particularly with MB and SB. And, petty as it may sound, even though some of the actors may have done some good work on OLTL, I'm glad the show was shut out of the big categories- proves a point.   • MB wasn't shut out. Maurice declined to put his name in. He didn't think he had two good episodes. And ER (Bianca) *was* nominated, at least according to the list I saw on Soapzone. And so were JD (Leo) and RB (Greenlee)--cool! And I just started watching ATWT again (it was my FIRST soap from like 20 years ago!) and it was awesome! The bits I've read, like any backstage politics, sounds like daytime emmy's nomination process are a bit screwy. From what I understand an actor or a producer can submit episodes for consideration. I was hoping ATWT would do well in nominations this year, but considering all the "politicking" that sometimes goes on with this stuff, I wasn't so sure they would get their just-deserved kudos! I'm thrilled to see that they DID! Martha Byrne is doing an EXCELLENT job playing dual roles, so happy she was recognized for it, along with all the other actors on this wonderful soap! There was one episode that had me relax my remote finger, Lucinda and Iva finding out about the babies. 2:00 hr I have GH, GL, ATWT, and Passions, the GL held my attention the whole hour Friday, a first in a long time. OLTL and GH both have an excellent cast, but who's been running things for the past few years?...IA about SB, she so deserved a nomination, and I would have cheered from the rooftop had she won.
