Molly, I don't have a clue what Roger would like or prefer but I can bet being an actor you will always rather be involved in a 'meaty' storyline, something with substance, something this story is not. My gut tells me the same as Pilar, the early days of Todd were probably his favorite time. From a personal viewpoint 'bad guys' are much more fun to play than good guys. And Roger certainly has brought many levels to Todd over time.

I don't think it matters a lick to him who he is paired with, but personally I think FL complemented and worked naturally with Roger's ad-libbing style, theatre training (as both were) added to their styles. I do NOT think Roger is a sell-out, twice he has left (at least once on integrity) more than many other actors would do. He has tried twice to get acting gigs 'out there' and it is DAMN tough. Think of all the talented actors you've seen on a show and then never heard from them again. 95% unemployment is a fact if you're an actor. Working on a soap is not the level most actors would probably wish for their careers. The acting community does not respect daytime actors, if you go for an audition for a movie or TV pilot casting agents want to see what you've done on film. Daytime is videotaped and most will not even consider looking at your work on that medium. Roger is 'working' not just providing for his family but practicing his craft more than most actors get to do waiting for auditions.

He has become a soap veteran, he knows more how the game is played, his outclauses are his leverage. I would probably bet those outclauses give him the freedom if something else outside of daytime comes up he is free to fly which I believe he would do in a heartbeat. I personally do not believe Roger carries the clout to dictate how Todd's story should go, except for Tony Geary, I don't think any actor has that kind of power. IMO, his story now is VERY lame, STANDARD soapy. I think many, MANY, times an actor on a soap gets his script, rolls his eyes at the stupidity of the plot or dialogue, but it is their JOB to act that script using their best talents. I believe Roger has done that, made the best out of the crap that has been written for him. As long as he's on the show there is a hope of a TnT reunion or a better Todd storyline. So for me I guess it's just RH drawing me not Todd in Blair's world, I live in hope for better times.
