Todd's not convincing me!

Well I guess it was too much to ask for the turnaround in Todd's character the last few weeks to last...It seemed that Todd had returned and was acting more in character, but after watching the graveyard scenes and the scenes yesterday I am again losing interest quickly. And after yesterday, Todd is not convincing me that he 'really' loves Blair. He had to be kicked in the shins and screamed at by Starr before he went to Blair and 'tried' to tell her that he would fix things. And now we will be treated to 'Tom' playing dress up in a police uniform today....Yipeee
You know, honostly it would'nt be so hard to watch Todd with Blair if he would act like Todd and convince me that it was really what he wanted. But somehow that is just not happening!!!

I hear ya, Debbie- I'm not feeling it, either. I think yesterday took the cake for me. Starr kicked him, taunted him, berated him. - Nic, wow, Todd said that to Starr? Man, VERY glad I missed that episode. Sounds like childish sibling more than loving daddy we witnessed a week ago.   - Oh yeah, Pilar - I was watching with my Mum and we were both shocked!! Mouths open and all! lol! Todd totally yelled at Starr - but probably the worst part was that Starr was nonreactive to it. I was absolutely expecting a look of hurt or surprise or something - she only dug her heels in more. And then later Starr pickpocketed Max to get to his credit card. All I could say, is wowwww....     - One note - NOT that I blamed Todd for yelling at her. I know that feeling of aggravation when your little sh*t of a child is demanding something inaccessible - demanding loudly, over and over .... and over ... (LOL ... not that MY children are like that ...) and over .... I'm surprised we didn't see Todd grab her by the scruff of the neck to give her a spanking.       - Well, Cabbie, only can say the day Todd spanks his child will be one sorry day for this Toddaholic & final proof Todd Manning I loved is long gone! Anyways, I'm not dissappointed Todd yelled at Starr as much as how it sounds he did it, sounds like XMas scenes w/their childish bickering more than daddy & Shorty scene we got last week.     - The Voice said yesterday that "Todd doesn't have his daughter anymore, he has a new pint-sized nemesis." *sigh* Every second of that hurt yesterday, and for me, it's not funny or entertaining, it's the mishandling of something integral to Todd.         From specter scenes thru "Hell No" week thru jailhouse scenes, GT proved an incredibly gifted writer b/c I'm darn sure that was NOT McHack's crap. And it wasn't just Todd being written well that Skye/Adam, Renee/Ben confrontations were riveting stuff. So either GT lost all talent overnight OR more likely his EP duties just did not allow him to continue spending so much time fixing McT's hacked scripts! (NT) -- Pilar, 16:33:43 03/16/01 Fri
        When Colin's showtime fell flat unlike Todd's I wondered if that wasn't more likely McHack's dreadful scripting vs GT's changes. I've got whiplash not just from Todd's story but how quickly Colin fell back into cartoon villain too, that dreadful Nora as his drugged dolly reeked of McT's love of victimizing poor Nora last summer. I don't think I can judge writing until new HWers' stuff starts to air for May sweeps, that's final judgement day for this long-time viewer, make or break time. (NT) -- Pilar, 16:37:50 03/16/01 Fri
        IA, Pilar...I've lost a lot of trust and faith in this genre because of those kind of games and inconsistency, and when it comes to favorites, I'm really out of patience with that whole 'back and forth' deal. That's big time damaging to GT's vision, because to swing back tells me that he does know better, and then to reverse tells me he's not strong enough to back that up and promote consistency in that knowledge.
