Subject: I asked McCrae about this during the pre-season dinner at the Water Club. He will be a senior next season. He played his freshman year at Wagner (that is one year), half a season at Wagner his sophomore year (two years) and half a season for us last year (three years). NCAA rules state that as long as you participate during a season and are not redshirted that the participation counts as a full season of participation. That is why I have never fully understood midyear transfers. They end up playing two half seasons which has to take away from the experience in my opinion and in essence robs them from a year of playing time.
