Subject: The Evolution of the A-10

Below is a post from "Headpainter", a St. Joe's fan, that's on the A-10 message board. Interesting to see the evolution of the A-10 over the years from a league dominated by state schools to a heavily private, Catholic grouping of schools.

"Looking at this collection of schools points out how much this league has changed over the years."

The 10 member Atlantic-10 - mid-1980's

5 Rhode Island

The 14 member Atlantic-10 - circa 2005

"The league has basically evolved over almost 30 years from a collection of mainly large northeast state schools within a small geographic footprint to a collection of mostly small Catholic schools spread across a wide swath of the country."
