This may not be a bad men's sport to add. Since our male population seems to be dwindling it might be good for Fordham to investigate this. Also, it seems like mostly schools with better academic reputations offer this as a sport with scholarships. This may be a way for us to compete with these schools for academically qualified men. I know there may be Title 9 implications but I am sure there must be someway to accomodate this. -- Fordham Rams Basketball Message Board

Apart from scholarships, it shouldn't be a tremendous marginal cost to add a women's lacrosse team if a men's team is added. I like the idea because I have a couple of cousins out in Massapequa who play and can hold their own against most boys their age (just under 10). By the time the program fully matures and becomes regionally competitive they'll be ready for the coach to take paying for college off their parents' hands!
