However though he might not have the high public profile of an entertainment figure like Bill Cosby he is no less accomplished, having risen to a place of prominence in the academic world. I can see why honoring the President of NYU, a rival of Fordham could upset some Seniors but let’s not forget that his three degrees from Fordham show what an alumnus can achieve and without that connection I doubt we’d even consider having him speak. It is customary to honor high profile graduates and if he were President of Stanford instead of NYU I doubt anyone would complain. In reply to:
