Subject: He's actually the "dean" of NYC college hoops coaches, with a chance to make himself and his program count for something in this city. While Fordham and DW are trying to make this a two-team town, Gonzo could easily make it a three-team place. I'm certain Manhattan would back him in the effort. But if he'd rather forget the Big City and go coach some state school in front of 8,000 screaming farmers, so be it. With the foundation he's put in place at MC, he should have the confidence in himself and the institution to see things through. Is Gonzo's problem lack of confidence, or lack of vision?
In reply to: frank 's message, "why knock him? The guy is a good coach and he is just trying to better himself. You would do the same." on Wed March 23, 2005 19:57:40
