Subject: I wouldn't be so tough on SJU. Let's face it, kids do crazy things, its really a matter sometimes of whether or not you get caught. I do agree FU is on top of things better than most but also, maybe a little bit of luck over the years too.
In reply to: Rambacker 's message, "I wouldn't dwell too much on this. We've had our moments and incidents over time, as every program does. We are far from perfect. I'll just leave it at that. Your assumptions are not fully correct." on Thu March 24, 2005 18:24:43

  • I disagree. Just because we have had incidents like everybody else doesn't mean our reaction should be one of tolerance for that level of unethical behavior. An occasional incident can be put in some perspective, depending on the facts and resolution. But the number and seriousness of St. Johns' incidents, after having benefitted from questionable practices for so long, and their audacity to suggest it's not fair they be held accountable, that's what I'm really objecting to. Our program should never be allowed to sink so low. (NT) -- DamnRam, Fri March 25, 2005 12:03:07
  • My post was in response to your comments re: the behavior of former players at FU. They are inaccurate - we have not been untouched by these problems - no Div. 1 program is, nor are most Div 2 and 3 programs. (NT) -- Rambacker, Fri March 25, 2005 15:20:49
  • Damn Ram, Fordham has been better at sweeping things under the carpet than most. (NT) -- The Sweeper, Fri March 25, 2005 17:57:47
