Subject: I view having NYU's president speak to our graduates as Fordham's statement that they view NYU as a peer institution and rival, and as a way to honor the achievements of a proud Fordham grad. For what it's worth, I chose Fordham over NYU and I would do it again without hesitation. Each school has its strengths so I don't understand your jump to the conclusion that this is somehow proof or recognition of Fordham's supposed inferiority.
