Subject: Maybe not all conferences should have the conf. tourneys and I understand that the most deserving team doesn't always get the ticket to the Big Dance, but conference tourneys, esp. for the mid-majors are some of the most exciting things in sports.
In reply to: Chicago Ram 's message, "It may not be. If you look at Bucknell's best wins - at Pitt, at St.Joe's - you could make a case for them as the at large. Holy cross - while playing evryone close - may not have the quality wins to offest this one loss. Another reason - besides pitiful attendabce and no TV ratings froma bad time slot - to dump these confrence tournaments so the regular season champo can go." on Sat March 12, 2005 00:04:23
