{{{hugs}}} I'm sorry, J-Skee. Know that you can ALWAYS talk, vent, rant, etc. to us because that's what we're here for, got it? It doesn't beat having a real life, face-to-face conversation with someone but we do what we can. :-)

I understand your melancholic attitude towards life in general right now. Rejection is hard to bear, even for the strongest of individuals, because it's natural that we all want to be accepted and loved. Now, having said that, let me just say:

THIS DUDE ISN'T WORTH THE EFFORT.

I know people shouldn't be judged by their age, because, well, look at me, I have less experience than a 12 year old, but the point is, this guy is *18* and like I said before, what would he know about commitment and stable relationships? You said he dated a single mother before but look, is he still with her NOW? Nope. So what does THAT say about commitment, hmm? Sounds like he's got as much stability as Justin Timberlake's got hair at this point. :-)

It's a bit fun to get hung over a guy, to harbour a little attraction towards him, to fancy that he returns the feeling a little bit too...BUT you've got to look at the big picture and see how well you two get along. How long have you known him? What do you have in common? Place a mental paper bag over his face...would you still like him faceless? Answer them HONESTLY, and with a clear mind.

I sometimes ask myself this question when I think about relationships: What do I want out of it? Is it just the kissing and cuddling? Having someone to be there when I need them? Someone to get rid of spiders? ;-) I have friends and family to do the last two and I don't really need the first part right now but your needs and wants will be different from mine of course. Just be sure to evaluate them carefully and rationally and you'll be a stronger, more self-assured person for it.

I'm not sure what else to say. I hate seeing you so unhappy and I wish there was more I can do to help you. So I'll just leave you with a quote I have in front of my computer:

I know you guys are right but it doesnt make it any easier to be in my life at any point. I have never had a reason to be unhappy or depressed but the simple fact is that I am and I cant even control it.
