Subject: If they have no verbal aat all every single rugby game in the country played tomorrow will have to be investigated. "zero tolerance" and other words are all very well but they dont define where banter ends and abuse starts. EVERY game referees are shouted at by fans, they expect it, in some cases enjoy it during a game. The last thing anyone wants is a sterile polite clapping and nothing else situation. Wonder if the WRU will have zero tolerance for corrupt/crap refs too. Somehow i doubt it.

  • If a ref or linesman ignores (yes they DID see it) a player walking around the field puching Ebbw Vale players at every opportunity, then I reserve the right to call him stupid or blind or even a cheat. I agree that a line must be drawn (especially after a match), but when an official is so inept that he has no control over the players, he is going to get called over.
