Subject: Training

Looking a bit sick on the injury front again this week.

Backs.
Scott Horner still not training after his pre-match injury last week. Jason Williams didn't train on Cae Canol. His hand injury (which kept him out of the Pooler game) needed quite a few stitches, so there's no guarantee that he'll be available for Wednesday.
Good news is that Andrew Bevan seems ok.

Forwards.
With Ben's hearing tomorrow, he will obviously be starting his ban with immediate effect. He trained but left earlier than the playing squad, so (unless found not guilty) won't be involved. More front row problems as Chris Thomas is injured as well. Seeing as Chris Downs has parted company with the club, we are in a bit of a hole. Didn't see Richard there and it looked as if Bulldog and Matthew Griffin will be the locks this week.
Good news is that Lyn was involved a bit more tonight and spent some time with the pack using the scrum machine. Wouldn't be surprised if he were on the bench this week. He played yet another game for our neighbours (Brynmawr) last week and seems eager to get back on the field for us. Another prop that seems eager is Dean; he seems to have the attitude right in that there is a lot to make up for after we failed to turn up at Pooler.

Nice to see Chunky down there tonight. He was just out for a gentle loosen up and did a little jogging around the field. He even threw into a couple of lineouts (it was good to see). He is still not a well man at all and has resigned himself to the fact that he won't be playing until next season, but it shows his dedication to the cause that he made this effort to be with the lads training. Many would have put their feet up and said "I've got until next season, so why bother", but the man's attitude is fantastic. We look forward to seeing you playing again Chunky.

Steel and determination will be required in abundance at Llanharan if we are to be in with any chance there.

We await the powers that be for official confirmation, but it looked like; Macca, Kris, Dan, Handsome, Bev, Byron/Jason, Scott, Lee, Greg, Abu, Bulldog, Griff, Farmer, Scu and Manu.

Can we win? It's going to take a big improvement and a lot of bottle, but being the eternal optimist, I think we can.
