There was still a usable rope when I first got there since the rope tow was in operation at least one season that I remember.
Some of us " older folk " might remember that and when it went south.
As I remember it when the snow was a bit too deep it wasn't much fun trying to do the tray slide but when it was just the right consistency it was a very popular form of winter entertainment.
Not only the try riders but the cheering section got a big kick out of it for that winter.
Of course the food service got a bit pissed when trays didn't get returned till the spring but you can't please everyone can you ?
