Hopefully your still checking this post, on a trip for a while. Anyway... I had the same problem. First, NO..someone working on the engine can't create this problem, it is a design flaw that Suzuki won't own up too. The overflow line is a "brass" line internal the tank. Bottom line is that it cracks. Can't replace it and really can't repair it. I tried epoxy, I tried JB Weld, neither worked. Finally, I kinked the rubber hose coming out of the tank and zipped tied the sucker. I am just realLy careful not to overfill at gas stops. I have had it this way for almost 3 years now and no issues. Beats paying over 600 dollars for a new tank, who is to say a used tank off e-bay won't do the same thing in a few months.
