Subject: Some people have found that some oils encourage their clutches to slip, mostly full synthetics gets the complaints in that department. But as for me, my clutch slips no matter what goes in. I guess extra horsepower doesn't mean much if it is getting siphoned off by the clutch.

  • Thinner oil is less drag, and why most new cars are coming with 5W20 in them for fuel economy. But I doubt it's measurable on a Dyno. Just stick with what is reccomended. I tried 20W50 in the tiller one time and it shifted like a bear. (NT) -- Gary Foreman - www.tl1000.com, 13:17:23 06/17/04 Thu
