Subject: Rear suspension service.

On one of the other TL chat boards a guy made the observation that all his suspension adjustments were not making a big difference. Once torn down he discovered all his needle bearings were dry and seized up. I thought since mine was a '97 model mine should be checked while I had the rear tire off for replacement. Sure enough, mine were not seized up but were very dry. Had I not serviced them they would not have lasted much longer. Most of the bolts were corroded to the bearing races, 2 so bad they had to be replaced. After I greased all the bearings. I polished the bolts and reassembled the parts with anti-seize compound. While at the local Suzuki shop I passed on my experience and was told this was a problem with several of the TLs they were servicing as of late and fully endorsed my fix with polish and anti-seize.
