Subject: TLS shock loosening!

Hi all,

I think I got quite a wierd problem here on my TLS: After about 2600k from new, the rotary damper mounting bolts, well one of them actually, loosened out of place so much as to protrude as much as two inches! The bolts are one right on top of the other on the front of the actual damper where it's mounted to the main-frame and can be tightened with a 14mm socket stuck to a (4" is enough) extension on a ratchet handle through the two holes on the left side of the frame right above the footpeg. At first I didn't notice that it had loosened, all I noticed was the bouncing-everywhere back end of the bike, as if there were no damper any more! When I tightened it back in place however, the different tightening on the bolt made quite a considerable difference on the dampening behaviour: if I didn't tighten it enough, the bike bounces around, and if I tighten it a bit more, the bike becomes almost totally stiff, as if it were a rigid dragracing frame!!!!! Does anybody know what's going on here please? Or maybe someone knows the torque settings of the said bolts? Any help would be greatly appreciated, as the bike is still under warranty and if something's going that far wrong, I can still go and say two good words to the very nice people at our local Suzuki dealer.

Thanks again guys.

Dave
