Subject: FI Code...

My boyfriend rides a 1998 TL1000S with a bunch of R parts on it, and so forth. The problem is, after putting a tank of low octane fuel in a week ago, the FI code has been flashing and it is now actually not starting at all, or starting for a minute and then dying when idling. The oil was changed w/a new oil filter put on, and a bottle of fuel injector cleaner was put in, and Cam2 fuel to clean it out, but it still is having the same problems. Can anybody tell me if there are any common fuel problems with the TL's or what's up with his?
He's really busy at work right now, so that's why I'm here. I'm sorry if I don't know the technical stuff or anything, but I really appreciate your help! :)
