Subject: Yuloh on a Commander

I have purchased a 1966 Pearson Commander which currently has a 4 horsepower outboard in the transom well. I want to pull the motor and sell it and be free of one more item that requires oil and gasoline to run. I am thinking of going with a yuloh to power the boat when the wind isn't blowing enough to get me around. My choice of the yuloh comes from the fact that the marina in which the boat is slipped is fairly tight and the idea of the yuloh out behind the boat as opposed to sweeps out the sides is more appealing to me. My question after all this palaver is what would be the most secure mounting for the yuloh pin and what would be the most suitable material (stainless steel rod, bronze rod)? I am thinking of mounting the pin on the starboard corner on the transom, but I'm not yet familiar enough with boat construction to know the best mounting method for the pin. I should mention that the boat is currently on an inland lake in north Texas, so no salt issues....for the moment.
